The leaves of this plant attract an unknown species of moth caterpillar. This small caterpillar typically appeared in mass and consumed the surface of the leaves in a rather organized manner. There was a similar observation posted by the Bird Ecology Study Group in 2015 but no mentioned of the name of the caterpillar.
