The botanical name of this low-lying weed was indicated as Lindernia sessiliflora in the reference booklet "A Guide to the Wildflowers of Singapore" published by Singapore Science Centre back in 1985. However, the name Lindernia sessiliflora appeared to be the synonym of Lindernia nummulariifolia. When I looked up for the pictures of Lindernia nummulariifolia in the Internet, they seemed to show a different plant. I believe the correct identity of this plant should be Lindernia diffusa [1-2]. Though the references mentioned Vandellia diffusa, this name is actually a synonym of Lindernia diffusa.
