Classification: | Kingdom: Animalia | Phylum: Arthropoda | Class: Insecta | Order: Coleoptera | Family: Tenebrionidae | Genus: Derispia |

These beetles usually hide in the clefts formed by cracks of the bark along the tree trunks. So far, I had found them on several trees, namely Rubber Tree (Hevea brasiliensis), Penaga Laut (Calophyllum inophyllum) and Bodhi Tree (Ficus religiosa). The clusters of round purple objects found near the beetles should be its eggs.
