This moth was located on the tendril of Sarsaparilla Vine (Smilax setosa) before it flew to the surface of a rock. On the Smilax setosa nearby, a large population of moth caterpillars were feeding on the leaves of this vine. I had seen this caterpillar on this vine since 2012 but had yet to find the moth related it. I was wondering whether this moth is related to those caterpillars.
